MATH 112… THE TASK MASTER!!!

Weird title right? If you are familiar with this blog, then you might have seen your fair share of weird titles… but if you’re new, then welcome to a blog dedicated to stirring up change in the hearts of as many people that are willing to give it a chance; for as many people that are tired of the status quo. Trust me, you’re gonna be seeing a few more weird titles in the future. I once heard a statement that kept me thinking for months. “People can only change by fifteen percent no matter how much they try”. I heard that statement from a movie, which is why I didn’t want to believe it at first, but after giving it much thought, I began to see the logic in it. Being an avid supporter of Real Madrid and of Cristiano Ronaldo, I began to imagine giving that part of my life up for someone I cared about. I imagined that I could, but only for as long as it was mutual. As far as I was concerned, I would run back to the flat screen the second I beg...

DIRTINESS THAT STAINS THE SOAP

Is it just me or is this blog filled with highly unusual and weird names. For example, “ oboi… you too worry ”, “ What went wrong ?” “ Somewhere out there… is someone ”, and now “Dirtiness that stains the soap”. Whoever thought a cleaning agent could be stained? I too never gave it much thought until a true need arose, and a burden weighed heavy on my thoughts, and my ears rang full of the cries around me.             It was a little fun being in the rain (well for me, and not my gadgets), and I could just walk in the rain and sing while I was at it. Then the unthinkable happened; an oncoming vehicle splashed mud on me. Of course he sped away not really minding what he did, after all, walking in the rain wasn’t so smart on my part. He sure gave me a little work to do. And as I washed and scrubbed away my favorite jean trouser, my soap picked up the stains. It was annoying to the ...

WHEN YOU MAKE MISTAKES

What do you do when you couldn’t have been more wrong about something, and now you’ve realized the error in your ways? I have been there a couple of times (not that I am proud of it), but so has every other human being who is willing to accept the fact that he/she is not perfect. I mean, this particular scenario I have in my mind was very touching, and completely exciting for me. It took me a couple of months before I realized that I was missing the whole point. But I don’t want to just talk about how I got the point wrong, I want to talk about my reaction after I had looked up and realized that I was almost lost, and was on the wrong track.       So there I was, on my computer, trying to make a difference in my world. But in there was a motive. I didn’t just want to write articles that could trigger positive change in people; I wanted to cross a number off my to-do list. I desperately wanted to get 1000 hits on my blog. For...

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE... IS SOMEONE

Permanently locked in every human is the inate ability to see beyond the ordinary... to see far above what the eye permits us to see in the physical. That is the idea that birth this article; the idea that I can see something that refuses to stay in the physical, suppressed by emotions and buried deep within tough situations and circumstances. The idea that there is something happening to someone, somewhere out there.      Being human goes far beyond the ability to perform every function of a living thing (otherwise, we might as well hang out with the goats). It's the traits, emotions and thinking ability that separates us from the pack of living things and sets us aside as humans. It is that human side that this blog appeals to. It calls on that side to provoke itself to positive change, build on good qualities already acquired, and learn from scratch that which makes us human, and makes life worth living.    ...

THIS OR THAT

I just know it; I can feel it deep down within me. After all is said and done, there’s going to be a time when I’ll be alone. And in that time, I might be sitting, standing, or lying, and I’ll sure reflect on all my life has been. And at that point, nothing is going to matter, just the one thought that would dominate all others in my mind. It’s either I lived my life as I should, or I didn’t. Either I touched someone or I didn’t. Either I made a difference in someone’s life or I didn’t. Either I answered a question in the universe or I left another question to be answered. Either I lived and loved or I just existed. Either I made every breath count or didn’t. Either I’ll be remembered forever or I would be forgotten in the twinkle of an eye. Either I rose to great heights or I was stuck on the ground. Either I discovered my purpose and destiny or I got lost chasing mirages. Either I reminisce about what could, would, or should have been or I tell st...

TRUE LIES

Everyone loves the truth. Well not everyone loves to say the truth, but everyone wants to hear it. That explains why you get mad when someone lies to you, especially someone you trust, or whose opinion matters to you. As a matter of fact, no one likes being lied to, because sooner or later, some important choice or decision is going to be made based on that lie, and the outcome is almost often not so pleasant. Even half the truth is just as bad as telling a lie because the part you’d want to hide is the most important part of all. But my mind races to the lie. You’d be surprised that lies kinda have some logic bomb designed inside them, once the required conditions have been adequately met, the explosion is loud and deafening, bright and blinding, hot, steaming and burning away at the tongue that utters it. Before I delve into true lies, I’d like to say a bit about the believe system. Human beings from time past have always been prone to believing in s...

THANK YOU!!!

Wow! Twelve posts of “The Words I would Say” and I’m beginning to marvel. We can actually pull this off! I once tried to imagine how writers felt in two very real situations in their lives. The first was that situation where a writer writes, but readers don’t read what he writes. I’m telling you it rips your heart out. Just the fact that there’s no medium to get his work out sort of kills him slowly from the inside. Every writer desires that his/her work be read; to a large extent, that’s all he/she is really asking for. The second situation is that the writer sees his work being read. Imagine the feeling a writer has when he’s sitting in a bus or in the corner of the park and he sees the person sitting next to him totally engrossed in his book, without that person knowing he is sitting beside the author of that book. I’m telling you it’s a feeling everyone would love to have, it’s one those who have experienced wouldn’t want to trade for anything. ...
