SOMEWHERE OUT THERE... IS SOMEONE

Permanently locked in every human is the inate ability to see beyond the ordinary... to see far above what the eye permits us to see in the physical. That is the idea that birth this article; the idea that I can see something that refuses to stay in the physical, suppressed by emotions and buried deep within tough situations and circumstances. The idea that there is something happening to someone, somewhere out there.
Being human goes far beyond the ability to perform every function of a living thing (otherwise, we might as well hang out with the goats). It's the traits, emotions and thinking ability that separates us from the pack of living things and sets us aside as humans. It is that human side that this blog appeals to. It calls on that side to provoke itself to positive change, build on good qualities already acquired, and learn from scratch that which makes us human, and makes life worth living.
Somewhere out there are people who wake up every morning without a song on their lips. Somewhere out there are people with a heavy heart. Somewhere out there is somebody saying “I'm not worth it”. Somewhere out there is someone saying “Maybe today is the day when I'll jump out that window”. Somewhere out there are people laying under a bridge and feeling hopeless. Somewhere out there are people whose loneliness you can cut through with a kitchen knife. Somewhere out there are people who feel like failures.
Somewhere out there are you, reading this and wondering what the writer is thinking. Maybe you understand these words, maybe they are just a couple of words on a blog. But I know that human side appeals to you. So much so that you are not going to ignore these words, because at some point in time, someone out there becomes you. So don't just scroll to the bottom and leave a comment to encourage the lonely writer, get out there and make a difference! Someone out there is waiting for those encouraging words you have been storing up for a long time. Someone out there is waiting to sing the song you have to teach him. Someone out there just wants to hear you say “You're worth it”. Someone out there is dying to hear you say “you are not alone”. Someone out there is waiting to hear you say “You can't jump out that window today, because I'm going to miss you if you do”. Someone out there is waiting to have a thirty minute conversation with you. Someone out there is hoping that he is the reason why you'd be great. Someone out there just wants to be heard. Here you are reading this, here you are making up your mind to step outside and meet someone out there.

Words. Are they enough?

Words. No one likes them better than I do. They fill the void of every writer, and try to express the ideas he has bottled up inside. They are sort of the proof of knowledge we have, isn’t it? I find being able to wield them a great privilege and a much welcomed burden. But as a tool for expressing emotions, I just find them inadequate, even in all their power. It’s the closest I feel to the person who says “Words cannot describe…” and is really torn up inside, hoping that his feelings and emotions, worries and cares, are understood as they are. But in the end, they are hardly ever understood, or felt the way they are. So we make do with words. We make do with them, hoping that somehow most, if not all, our emotions are conveyed by them. I love words. I love how they try. I love how they work and rework themselves till somehow, a picture is painted; a picture which once seen by another, stir up the same emotions which we felt with ...

BREATHE

As I write this, I’m kind of thinking this is a funny topic – Breathe. But this concept has been gaining my attention for the past few weeks. It’s the thought of being helpless sometimes in life that made me want to write about this, we as humans may not know how to solve our problems and take care of our worries, and we do not even know why they are there in the first place. But there is one thing we can do as humans, one thing God created us and gave us the right to do, and that’s breathing. What is breathing? It means to take in air repeatedly and alternately in order to stay alive. That is the definition I know you know. But one definition that you might not know is to relax and stop worrying about something or things in general. That is the definition I want to talk about. There is a time for everything under the sun, a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to ...

Something She Lost

So I met a child today. I met her by the well, seemingly oblivious to the fact that I was waiting for her, patiently I might add, to hand over the drawer she was gradually getting attached to. Sooner than I expected, she dropped it and headed for her chores, which I guess she needed the water for.     Now soaked in my own thoughts, I started to draw water. Of course this was not my first drawing, or drawing with that bucket. I had unconsciously devised a method to draw water quicker, and I had a fair idea of the number of times it would require to fill that bucket and possibly any other bucket I had used before. But I was a little distracted. I had to rinse the bucket, which I was sure would only mess up my count.     As I pulled what I was sure would be the last, I pulled a rosary with the drawer. Flashes of the superstitious played on in my mind, until the rosary was tightly clutched in my hand, and my fear literally kicked aside. I loo...
